Information for speakers

Presentations are normally expected to be between 20 and 40 minutes long (the exact timing should be discussed so that the programme can be published). Following this there will be approximately 10 minutes for questions from the floor.

We routinely provide computer projection and can provide a slide projector.
However if you wish to use more than basic presentation methods it is advised to discuss these before the meeting. The projector is able to cope with Windows operating systems at a resolution of 1024 x 768. It also appears to be successfully set up with Mac laptops. We are able to provide a laptop, running powerpoint on XP, but do expect presentations on CD or memory stick (we do not normally have a floppy drive available).

Furthermore we cannot completely guarantee the success of this and strongly recommend that speakers bring some form of backup visual aid!

The audience is usually 40-50 delegates and consists of consultants, trainees and some nursing staff working in the intensive care field.

Any special needs or requests should be addressed to the chairman.
